A Song of Joy
August 16, 2026 | Psalm 126 | Rob Collis
It’s been said there are only sacred moments and moments we have forgotten are sacred. The Christian season of Ordinary Time accounts for more than half of the year. This season points to something important about the Christian life: God wants to meet us with his grace in the everyday realities of our life. During the time of the Old Testament, God’s people remembered this over and over again. Three times a year, they would go on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem – but they didn’t make that journey in silence! They turned to the Psalms to create a road trip playlist of songs for the journey.
This week, Rob Collis preaches from Psalm 126. This is a psalm about the unexpected delight of God’s work in the lives of his people. Rob invites us to focus on the journey that this Psalm points us to. Along the way, he explores three questions: (1) What is the Journey? (2) Where is the Journey? and (3) When is the Journey?
