A Song of Confidence

It’s been said there are only sacred moments and moments we have forgotten are sacred. The Christian season of Ordinary Time accounts for more than half of the year. This season points to something important about the Christian life: God wants to meet us with his grace in the everyday realities of our life. During the time of the Old Testament, God’s people remembered this over and over again. Three times a year, they would go on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem – but they didn’t make that journey in silence! They turned to the Psalms to create a road trip playlist of songs for the journey.

This week, Rob Collis preaches from Psalm 125. This is a Psalm we can sometimes overlook, but it’s a profound song of confidence! In our journey of faith, this is a song that reminds us that we need to return – again and again – to the simple truth that our trust is in Jesus Christ alone, and nothing can separate us from his love.
