Be Holy As I Am Holy

October 4, 2026 | 1 Peter 1.13-16 | Joshua Liu

What happens when our faith in Jesus changes us and makes us feel like aliens and strangers in our own home? This was the question Jesus’ earliest followers started asking: Following Jesus had changed them, and reoriented their entire way of life – and now they were feeling like outsiders and strangers in their own towns. And they weren’t sure what to do. That’s why Peter wrote his first letter to the church.

This week, we’re excited to welcome Joshua Liu from the Artizo Institute. Joshua preaches from 1 Peter 1.13-16, and shows us how Peter calls us to respond to the hope we have in Jesus. Joshua walks us through these two responses, to help us understand what it means to set our hope on Jesus’ coming again, and what it means to be holy as God is holy.
